Bridge KY in Glasgow opens cooling room

GLASGOW, Ky. – If you’ve been outside lately, you’ve felt this intense heat. A nonprofit is opening a space to help people find shelter from high temperatures if they need it.

Bridge KY has announced its spring and summer chill room hours. From Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the organization offers you a space to protect you from the intense elements.

Wade Copas, executive director of Bridge KY, told News 40, “As important as it is to get people out of the cold, it’s just as important to get people out of the heat, you know, to have access to clean water. , stuff like that. So this is our mission.
