UNITED SCHOOL BOARD REVIEWS FINAL 2024-25 BUDGET TONIGHT

The United School Board will seek to approve next year’s operating budget at tonight’s meeting.

Expenses are $24,293,133, with revenues more than half a million less. The district will not increase property taxes, keeping them at $11.156 million. The deficit will be made up by a transfer to the district’s general fund balance.

The school board will also seek to approve the hiring of a high school counselor and a director of technology. They will also approve the employment contract between the district and its finance director, Gerard Kalinyak.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the district board room.
