The world is not yet done with the announcement that HBO is discontinuing the series. Tokyo Vice on Max and will not order the third season. The creators have gone radio silent, leaving fans shocked that season 3 was canceled. It was announced that the second season would be the last of the Ansel Elgort series unless the studio found the content compelling enough to revive it. However, showrunner JT Rogers and executive producer Alan Poul had still not said anything about the dramatic twist. Turns out they’ve finally broken their silence, and there’s still hope that the series isn’t ending yet and that there might be a third season on Lionsgate Play in India.

JT Rogers and Alan Poul aren’t ready to stop with Tokyo Vice Again. According to Variety, Poul said: “Well, our partner on the show, Fifth Season, is the studio behind the show. And you have to remember that Fifth Season sells the show internationally. Max exists in North America , in most of South America and a few European territories and the rest of the world are sold by our friends at Fifth Season and they have sold very well.

“So we’re turning to our partners. We haven’t even really put our heads together yet, because this is all very new. But there are many territories in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia that will still want the show , and we have to see how our partners, Fifth Season, will prepare to respond,” added Poul.

For the unversed, JT Rogers and Alan Poul concluded the story they created with by Tokyo Vice season 2. Speaking about what they think about the future, Poul said: “I think we’re keeping our options open. We love and trust our friends from Season Five. They’re going to guide us through this. Our goal right now is to support them in their work, and frankly, for me to continue building the world in the meantime.”

A journalist stumbles upon a case and quickly realizes that he is opposing the most powerful bigwigs in the ecosystem.
