Alex Verdugo has a NSFW message for the Orioles after Aaron Judge and Gleyber Torres HBPs

This week’s series featuring the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles would definitely feature a ton of fireworks. Only 1.5 games separated the two teams that hold the two best records in the AL. The series would give Baltimore’s young stars a chance to shine on the big stage while the Yankees would get their ace, Gerrit Cole, back in the second game of the series.

It turns out that what was an exciting series for Yankees fans is now one where all they can do is hold their collective breath. Aaron Judge, a player who has set the league on fire over the past month and a half, was hit by a pitch from Orioles starter Albert Suarez. After initially staying in the game, Judge was hit before his next at-bat.

Judge’s first injury update seemed concerning at best, and he wasn’t even the only Yankees player to be hit by a pitch. Gleyber Torres was hit by a pitch and, like Judge, stayed in the game initially. Fortunately, he was never out and ended up taking his next at-bat.

Yankees fans weren’t the only ones upset that two of their players were tossed. Alex Verdugo had words for the Orioles.

For Boston Red Sox fans, this is no surprise. Verdugo is as tough as they come, and he’s someone no one should want to mess with. He will always defend his teammates, as he does here for Judge and Torres.

It’s unclear exactly who Verdugo is addressing with his message, especially considering two different pitchers hit New York batters, but he’s apparently willing to take on anyone who disrespects him or his teammates based on what he had to say.

Hopefully, for everyone’s sake, things stabilize and both Yankees players are okay. The last thing New York needed with Cole returning was for anyone, especially Judge, to be missing at any point. Either way, there’s already a massive storyline for both of these fan bases to watch.
