Meet your children’s teachers for 2024-25

Summer vacation has just started, but it’s not too early to think about the next school year.

The Osceola County School District encourages all Osceola students and parents to attend their school’s Meet The Teacher events to prepare for the 2024-2025 school year.

These days were scheduled before the first day of school, August 12.

Wednesday August 7: All high schools will host Meet The Teacher from 3:30-5:30 p.m., including Osceola County School of the Arts, grades 6-12.

Thursday August 8: All middle and primary and secondary schools will host Meet The Teacher from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Friday August 9: All elementary schools will host Meet the Teacher from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Students will have a chance to become familiar with the teacher and classroom environment before the first day of school, which district officials say can reduce anxiety and help students feel more comfortable and more confident. Meet the Teacher will also provide parents with the opportunity to make a personal connection with their child’s teacher(s), which can facilitate better communication and collaboration throughout the school year. Understanding the teacher’s approach, expectations, and classroom policies will provide parents with the information they need to support their child’s learning.
