Saweetie says her food preparations are inspired by her father

If there are two things Saweetie is known beyond her music and her beauty, but also for her culinary preparations and her business acumen. Both are on display in his latest venture, a partnership with Boiling crab And Postmates. As per the deal, she offers her fans a variety of seafood feasts inspired by her culinary combinations. The Hot Mess, The Bigger Hot Mess and The Biggest Hot Mess – which all include snow crab, shrimp, corn, andouille and fries – are now available at The Boiling Crab until July 7, with Postal workers delivering exclusively participating locations.

Talk to PeopleSaweetie says she got her food preparations, which include oysters in a honey barbecue sauce, from her father.

“Honestly, I get a lot of concoctions from my dad because as a young dad he used to make me spreads,” Saweetie says. “He would make me these awesome ‘Scooby-Doo’ sandwiches with a whole bunch of chips and fries, just the way he wanted to make them.”

“But I’ve always loved concoctions and tasting new foods. I am a very big foodie,” she adds. That’s why she was open to collaboration: it’s something she already loves doing.

“At this point in my career, I don’t do things for financial gain. I do things out of passion,” says Saweetie. “It’s always a special time when we can do business with people with whom we share a common interest; in this case, it’s seafood.”

“The fact that Cancer season day falls and I’m a Cancer (my sign is a crab), I feel so aligned and so in tune with everything that’s going on for me right now,” a- she told People. “especially with just releasing new music.”

Saweetie’s current single is titled “Nani”.
