Three people arrested after failing to stop for police

Three men have been arrested after failing to stop with police in Londonderry.

A white BMW driving erratically was reported to police on Friday around 11:00 p.m. BST in the Clooney Road area.

The driver failed to stop to call police and the car was found crushed and abandoned in a nearby field.

The three men who police said were at the scene of the accident were later arrested.

Police also discovered “a quantity of suspected Class A drugs” following a search of the car.

A man in his 20s was arrested for alleged drug possession with intent to supply and several road traffic offences.

Two men aged 23 and 22 were also arrested for alleged drug possession with intent to supply.

All three men are in custody and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
