Zac Efron Fans Shocked By His Different Look During Interview For New Movie The Iron Claw

Zac Efron fans had to think twice when they saw his new look while promoting new movie The Iron Claw.

The 36-year-old actor was chatting with Entertainment Weekly about his latest role in the film, which chronicles the life of professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich and his family.

However, rather than what was said about the film, it was Efron’s appearance that got commentators talking the most.

In the US publication’s clip, Efron, who originally rose to fame as a child star in the High School Musical films, had a noticeably fuller jawline.

The Greatest Showman star previously opened up about his 2022 facial transformation amid plastic surgery rumors, saying it was the result of a broken jaw after smashing his chin on a fountain.

Still, her fans were shocked and not entirely kind about her features.

“What happened to his face?” asked one person, while another called his face “huge.”

Others have compared him to characters like Thanos in Avengers and even Prince Farquaad from the animated film Shrek.

Appearing on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine last year, Efron explained what happened to his face and revealed that even his own mother wondered if he had gone under the knife.

Efron recalled to the publication how he slipped on a pair of socks while running home, leading him to smash his chin on a granite fountain.

He said this meant the masseter muscles inside his face and jaw were “compensating” for his injury, causing them to grow, which then led to his changed appearance.

This is the second time in recent weeks that Efron has made headlines after a story resurfaced following Matthew Perry’s death that he was the Friends actor’s first choice to play him in a film about his life.

The two previously starred together in the 2009 teen fantasy comedy 17 Again.
