Day three of the sold-out Escapade music festival at Lansdowne Park has been canceled due to safety concerns following heavy rain.

Initially, fans had to wait a long time on Sunday, with the doors to the electronic music festival opening at 3:15 p.m., more than two hours later than planned. But less than two hours later, around 5 p.m., festival organizers announced on social media that the day’s shows had been canceled.

The post goes on to say that more information on refunds would follow.

Ottawa was under a heavy precipitation warning issued by Environment Canada on Sunday, with 25 to 30 mm of rain expected as well as the possibility of severe thunderstorms.
