Meet Kysre Gondrezick, WNBA Star Linked to Jaylen Brown After Couple Sparked Romance Rumors at Boston Celtics Parade

DATING rumors flooded social media after Kysre Gondrezick was spotted alongside Jaylen Brown during the Boston Celtics’ NBA championship parade.

NBA Finals MVP Brown, 27, joined his teammates in a duck boat parade through the streets of Boston on Friday as they celebrated the franchise’s record 18th title victory.

Holding the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP trophy, Brown wore a simple black t-shirt with “State Your Source” on the front.

This apparently referenced a tweet he posted during the Playoffs in response to First Take host Stephen A. Smith after the ESPN star relayed critical comments about Brown that he allegedly heard from ‘an anonymous source.

Alongside Brown was Chicago Sky star Gondrezick.

Radiant in a white dress and sunglasses, the 26-year-old’s appearance immediately sparked rumors they were dating.

Gondrezick comes from an athletic family, with his father Grant spending 12 years as a professional basketball player.

His career took him to the NBA, as well as Italy, Belgium, Argentina and Spain.

Gondrezick’s uncle, Glen, was also an NBA star, spending six years split between the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks, before a year in Italy.

His mother Lisa Harvey was also a basketball star, winning a national championship with Louisiana Tech in 1988.

As for Gondrezick’s sister, Kalabrya, she spent one season on the Michigan State basketball roster.

She was married to former NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who tragically died in 2022 after being struck by a dump truck in Florida while trying to cross a highway on foot.

Gondrezick’s athletic career saw her head to Michigan in 2016 where she was named to the Big-Ten All-Freshman team after making 33 appearances, averaging 14.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

She transferred to West Michigan the following season, forced to sit out her sophomore year due to NCAA transfer rules.

Over the next three seasons, Gondrezick would play in 56 games, averaging 17.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

After being named to the All-Big-12 first team in 2021, she entered the WNBA draft.

Gondrezick was selected fourth overall by the Indiana Fever, two spots ahead of eventual Rookie of the Year and now Sky teammate Michaela Onyenwere.

How the WNBA Works

THE 2024 WNBA season features 12 teams, with the regular season running from May 14 to September 9.

Each team plays 40 regular season games – four against five teams from the same conference and two teams from the other conference, and three games against the remaining four teams.

The top eight teams in the league standings qualify for the playoffs, regardless of which conference they belong to.

The playoffs will use a best-of-three format in the first round, while the WNBA semifinals and finals will be best-of-five.

This season also includes a one-month break for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Las Vegas Aces are defending back-to-back WNBA champions.

During his rookie season, Gondrezick made 19 appearances off the bench, averaging just 9.1 minutes per game.

Released by the Fever after the season, she then completed a training camp in Chicago before being waived.

Two years away from the sport followed before she returned to the Sky, making the roster on her second attempt.

“I think now is the best time (to come back) honestly,” Gondrezick told GirlsTalkSports in February.

“I think the skills for me the first time wasn’t the problem, it was the whole mental aspect.

“And now to be mentally equipped to be able to perform at this level, I wonder why not?”

Through June 23, Gondrezick made four appearances for Chicago, averaging 3.8 minutes per game.

Gondrezick was previously in a relationship with NBA player Kevin Porter Jr.

In January, he reached a plea deal for misdemeanor assault and harassment charges involving Gondrezick, according to the Associated Press.
