Chappell Roan says other pop stars have reached out and offered support

Chappell Roan is letting fans know that the pop music world has been extremely supportive of him.

The rising pop musician has had an eventful year, performing to growing crowds of enthusiastic fans, scoring her first Billboard Top 100 hit with Good luck, baby, and performing on late night shows and on NPR’s Tiny Desk. With her continued rise to stardom, Roan reflected on the support she received from other artists of the same genre.

The singer posted a video to TikTok on Friday, telling her fans that some “pop girls” she is a fan of have taken the time to contact her and offer their help.

“I’ve been reflecting on my life and the last two weeks have been like cuckoo,” Roan said in the video. “But what’s so reassuring and so crazy is that the pop girls that you and I have loved our whole lives or like, I’ve been fucking Stans for the last two or three years, like a lot of them l did. I reached out and I’m very supportive and I’m a girl’s girl.

She continued: “It’s so sick to know that girls actually support each other in the pop industry.”

Roan didn’t specify which pop stars contacted her, but Lady Gaga is a pop icon who recently publicly showed her support for the musician in a comment. A fan recently shared a video of Roan performing a cover of Gaga’s 2009 hit. Bad Romance During her concert in Cincinnati earlier this year, which came across Gaga’s radar and prompted her to comment, “I love Chappell,” Roan was compared to Lady Gaga – from her decadent costumes to her pop songs to success.

“Having people that I look up to reach out and offer like a friend or help, I don’t know, it’s just sick and it makes me believe like the world,” Roan continued in his TikTok.

Chappell Roan’s runaway success also brought overwhelming feelings, the singer recently confessed to a crowd in Raleigh, North Carolina. Before introducing a new song to the crowd of screaming fans, Roan became vulnerable and told fans she was feeling “a little bad today” because her “career is going really fast.”

“So, I’m just being honest, I’m going through a tough time today,” she continued. “I’m really sorry – I’m not trying to put on a show for you. It’s just that there are a lot… Thank you for your understanding. It’s all I ever wanted. It’s just heavy sometimes, I think.
