DMK MP Kanimozhi slams paper leak, calls exam ‘unfair’ (VIDEO)

New Delhi, June 24: DMK MP Kanimozhi reiterated the party’s demand to exempt Tamil Nadu from NEET and said the examination process was not fair.

Kanimozhi said, “Tamil Nadu has always said that we do not want NEET and want to be exempted from it. Today it is very clear that this review is not really fair. Tamil Nadu has always said we don’t want it. and now the whole country is saying it.” The NSUI (National Students Union of India) staged a protest in Delhi on Monday over the NEET issue.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “PM Modi reminded us of the emergency hour, but what about today’s education emergency? Young people are wondering about cancellation of exams, paper leaks and CBI probes during exams and there is no accountability from the Prime Minister or the Education Minister. Young people are on the verge of losing their jobs and in a precious year, the Prime Minister should speak on the crucial issues facing the nation. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant said the NTA had lost its credibility.

Arvind Sawant said: “This is a very serious issue. The matter of paper leaks must be taken very seriously. They took little action. But first the minister denied it and said nothing had happened. The NTA has lost its credibility. there is no credibility, why will you carry out examinations? »

National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah said conducting a NEET-UG retest if necessary would be an unlikely proposition. Dr Farooq Abdullah said: “This is a crime committed against students. They qualified for the exams by studying without purchasing papers. controlling the country is not an easy task and repeating it is an unfortunate thing. »

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducted the NEET-UG exams, is facing criticism over alleged irregularities in the exams. This resulted in several protests across the country, with demonstrators and political parties demanding the dissolution of the NTA. An unprecedented 67 candidates scored a perfect 720 out of 720, adding to concerns.

The Education Ministry said it has constituted a high-level expert committee to make recommendations on reforms in the examination process mechanism, improvement of data security protocols and functioning of the NTA.
