Barbie Announces New Ken Toy ‘Mojo Dojo Casa’ Inspired by a Movie Set

There’s a new house in Mattel’s Barbie Neighborhood.

After last year’s premiere of Greta Gerwig’s action-packed film barbie film, the toy conglomerate is expanding its product line to include Ken’s famous “Mojo Dojo Casa,” as seen in the film.

According to a People Magazine report, Mattel Creations plans to debut the tiny house replica at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24. The company will then offer the toy, including a Ken figure and a “Kendom” sign, for $50 on its website on July 25. Ken will wear a denim outfit similar to the one Ryan Gosling wore in the film.

In the film, Ken takes over Barbie’s (Margot Robbie) Dreamhouse after traveling to the real world and discovering the meaning of patriarchy. With Barbie stuck in the real world, Ken returns to Barbieland to take control and lead the movement for male domination with his “Kens” behind him.

Ken’s “Mojo Dojo Casa” is a sanctuary dedicated to himself and his masculinity, complete with Western-inspired doors, cowboy hats, flat-screen TVs and lots of leather. Meanwhile, Barbie’s Dreamhouse is anything and everything pink.

Mattel will also offer a mini replica of Barbie’s Dreamhouse from the film alongside Ken’s “Mojo Dojo Casa,” according to their press release.

“With these ‘sublime’ collector’s sets, fans can continue to experience their Ken and Barbie adventures from the film, inspiring big dreams in a mini way,” Mattel wrote, according to the press release obtained by People.

“Mattel Creations brings legendary moments from the silver screen to life through these authentic collectibles,” said PJ Lewis, senior vice president and global head of action figures at Mattel.
