FORMER Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger was caught talking into his coffee cup instead of a microphone while working as a Euro 2024 pundit.

The 39-year-old was covering a match for German broadcaster ARD when the strange mix-up occurred.

After making a joke about his drink with presenter Esther Sedlaczek, he accidentally started talking into the cup.

This prompted Sedlaczek to quickly point out his mistake before returning to the microphone.
