German tabloid ‘Sport Bild’ reports that Borussia Dortmund are considering Danish international Pierre-Emile Højbjerg for their summer midfield restock.

Much like last summer, Danish international Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has been linked with a return to German football. The transfer rumors could nevertheless carry a little more weight as the Tottenham midfielder enters the final year of his contract with the north London club. Another disappointing season saw the 28-year-old’s estimated market value plummet to €18 million. The Spurs might be interested in selling him cheap.

Højbjerg failed to record a goal point in 36 league appearances for Tottenham last season. Dortmund may be keen to bring him in to help strengthen the midfield following the disappointing campaigns of Emré Can and Salih Özcan. Højbjerg has numerous appearances in the Bundesliga for his former club Bayern München. He was also loaned to FC Augsburg and FC Schalke 04, scoring two goals in 56 Bundesliga matches.
