In the run-up to the general election on Thursday 4 July (2024), Shropshire Council has published advice for blind and partially sighted people who are considering voting at a polling station.

Three short videos have been produced – one for each of the North Shropshire, Shrewsbury and South Shropshire constituencies. Each will help blind and visually impaired voters understand the voting process and mark their ballot using handheld touchscreen voting devices that will be available at polling locations.

They also review candidate names and other information found on each precinct’s ballots.

All three videos – see below – can be viewed on Shropshire Council’s website and council’s YouTube channel.
