EastEnders fans discovered the secret new Mitchell family on Wednesday night.

Soap fans will remember that the hit BBC One soap announced earlier this year that Billy Mitchell’s world was going to be turned upside down this summer when he discovers his father, Stevie Mitchell, was hiding a secret family. The BBC One soap then announced: “Stevie’s son Teddy Mitchell will arrive in Walford later in June alongside his sons Harry and Barney in search of his father, but he will soon have more than meets the eye. he had planned when he came face to face with Billy, Phil and the rest of the Mitchell clan.

“Tensions will rise when Stevie admits that Teddy is Billy’s half-brother, meaning there’s a whole new branch of the Mitchell family that neither Billy nor Phil knew about.” Viewers were briefly introduced to the new Mitchell family in Tuesday’s episode in an explosive ending while soap watchers got a glimpse of the new characters on Wednesday night.

On Tuesday evening, Teddy, who was looking for Stevie, learned that his father was in the hospital while visiting him. After spotting Stevie with Billy and Will, Teddy decided to find out the truth about their identities as he followed them home to Albert Square. Teddy waited until they had left the property before finding a spare key at the front door and letting himself in, scaring Honey Mitchell in the process.

Later, Teddy decided to befriend Will as he took him to the pub and when the Mitchell family learned that Will was with the intruder who broke into their house, they confronted Teddy. It was all about to kick off until a reluctant Stevie was forced to admit that Teddy is Billy’s brother, leaving everyone in shock.

On Twitter, now X, people couldn’t help but think that Billy and Honey leave a spare key outside their front door, especially with the crime rate in Walford. One person wrote: “Who leaves their keys under a flower pot these days?! #EastEnders”, another wrote: “Who keeps their spare house key under the doormat or flower pot in LONDON of all places? #EastEnders”, another wrote: “Who leaves their keys under a flower pot these days? #EastEnders” while another added: “As if people put a key under a plant anymore #EastEnders”.
