1 shooting, killed in Ocala, police say;  cash reward offered for info

OCALA, Florida – A person was shot and killed Saturday evening in Ocala, according to the police department.

Officers responded around 10:38 p.m. to the 1500 block of NW 20th Avenue, where the person was found dead, Ocala police said on social media.

Investigators believe there is no danger to the community, the post said.

Anyone with information that could assist investigators is asked to contact police at 352-369-7000 or Crime Stoppers of Marion County online at 352-368-STOP (7867) or **TIPS to remain anonymous.

Tips to Crime Stoppers that lead to an arrest in this case could result in a cash reward of up to $3,000, police said.
