Ryan Reynolds Posts Hilarious Taylor Swift-Inspired Photo From The Set Of Deadpool & Wolverine, Sparking Rumors Of A Possible Cameo From The Singer

Ryan Reynolds has rekindled rumors of a potential Taylor Swift appearance in his upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine, just weeks before it hits theaters.

On Tuesday, the 47-year-old actor set social media ablaze when he posted a photo on Instagram from the set of the superhero film, which is based on Swift’s 2020 album Evermore.

Wearing Deadpool’s iconic red supersuit with dual samurai swords strapped to his back, Reynolds recreated the album’s iconic cover art.

Like Swift, Reynolds had his back to the camera as he stood in a field with bare trees in the distance.

The Canadian star, who has 51.5 million followers, also set her Instagram post to the tune of the title track from the Grammy-nominated album.

The Evermore album cover was captured by photographer Beth Garrabrant at a sprawling New York property “owned by a friend” of Swift.

Fans have speculated that the property – where the cover art for Evermore’s sister album, Folklore (2020) was also shot – is owned by Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively, 36.

Swift and Lively have been best friends since 2015, three years after Lively married Reynolds.

She is considered a core member of the multi-Grammy Award-winning group’s “girl squad.”

Reynolds and Lively are parents to four children: daughters James, nine, Inez, seven, and Betty, four, as well as another baby due in February 2023.

Swift mentioned James, Inez and Betty on her track Folklore Betty — the song actually revealing the youngest daughter’s name for the very first time.

In a 2021 interview with SiriusXM, Reynolds revealed that his daughters had no idea they were featured in the song’s lyrics until it was released.

“We surprised them. They didn’t know,” he said, before joking: “We don’t tell them anything; we find they’re more accommodating if you don’t give them access to outside information.”

As for the name of their fourth child — which has yet to be revealed — Reynolds joked on the TODAY show in May that it was in Swift’s hands.

“We’re still waiting for Taylor to tell us what the name of the child is, and I will say this: We’re still waiting,” he teased, adding that Swift is a “prolific writer.”

The couple recently attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Madrid, Spain, with their three daughters in the audience in May.

Rumors that Swift could appear in Deadpool and Wolverine began last year after she was spotted hanging out with her co-stars Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, 55.

In October 2023, the trio attended one of Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce’s games with Lively.

Jackman shared a now-viral selfie of himself, Swift, Reynolds and Lively posing together in their seats during the big game.

Swift and Jackman have been friends for over a decade, and the couple even celebrated Christmas Eve together in 2014.

The October 2023 release has fans speculating that Swift could appear as Lady Deadpool or Dazzler in the long-awaited Marvel superhero sequel.

And those rumors intensified earlier this month when the latest Deadpool & Wolverine trailer was released.

It shows a brief scene of a pair of legs – which appear to belong to a woman – walking through dust and rubble.

Many were quick to argue that the legs belonged to Swift, while others wondered if Reynolds’ wife, Lively, could make an appearance in the film, which is set to be released on July 26.

Shortly after, the official IMAX Instagram account uploaded a promotional poster for the film showing Deadpool and Wolverine wearing Eras Tour-inspired friendship bracelets.

The bracelets, often made of colorful beads and featuring lyrics or names of Swift’s iconic songs, became a tradition after Swift began touring in March 2023, when fans began making them and handing them out during concerts.

Speculation about a cameo isn’t as far-fetched as it seems, as Swift actually has significant acting experience under her belt.

She made an appearance in David O. Russell’s hit film Amsterdam, starring Margot Robbie and Christian Bale in 2022.

She also starred in Cats (2018), Valentine’s Day (2010) with her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner and she previously guest starred in an episode of CSI in 2009.

Swift is currently tackling the European leg of her blockbuster Eras tour.

She played her 100th Eras tour show earlier this month in Liverpool, and the star said “the show feels new every time we play it”.

The billionaire called it “the adventure of a lifetime” and thanked fans for their continued support.
