Bus stop closed as blood sprayed on path

A bus stop is cordoned off this morning with blood splatters visible on the tape.

The stop on Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge is surrounded by crime scene tape – and it is not currently clear whether buses can stop there.

There is currently no police presence at the scene and the tape extends along the trail.

The stop is near Turkis Chargrill and The Dutch Fishmen.

Transport for Greater Manchester declined to comment, saying they were unable to do so as it was a “crime-related” incident.

But the Bolton News is trying to determine whether the bus stop is out of service due to a possible investigation.

Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for comment.
