‘Room to maneuver’ for Xbox games: Fewer releases, more focus on promised first-party titles as Xbox boss looks to build on titles like Starfield and Hellblade 2

Xbox doesn’t have a very strong pipeline when it comes to recent exclusive releases. Starfield and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 are two recent exclusives that have come out on Xbox consoles, but the reception and sales figures have been different than what the company might have expected.

It seems like there won’t be any new exclusive titles coming in the near future, as Xbox Studios head Matt Booty has stated that the company doesn’t want to release games too close to another title. The company wants to find the right timing for a game to ensure a successful launch.
