Drama for Pacho, Koch ready for action

Ecuador were knocked out of the Copa America by Argentina on penalties, while Germany face Spain in the EURO quarter-finals tonight.

It was a sense of déjà vu when Ecuador lost to defending champions Argentina in the Copa América quarter-finals, this time on penalties. Eintracht defender Willian Pacho was part of an Ecuadorian side that drew 1-1 in regulation time before losing 4-2 on penalties.

Robin Koch’s Germany will face Spain in Stuttgart on Friday evening in a bid to qualify for the EURO semi-finals (kick-off: 18:00 CEST).
