Suspected burglar arrested in Brunswick basement

State police didn’t have to go far to find a suspected burglar.

Yasmin M. Vasquez, 25, was found in the basement of a Brunswick home on Tuesday and arrested.

Vasquez forced his way into the home that day and the day before, then damaged items inside, police said.

Police found a burglary tool at the residence, she said.

Vasquez was charged with two counts of burglary and criminal mischief. She was also charged with possession of burglary tools.

She was arraigned in Schaghticoke Municipal Court and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail as bail.
