Project Silence Releases New Lyric Video, “Rip The Flesh”

Finnish industrial metal band Project Silence have released a new lyric video “Rip The Flesh,” taken from their upcoming album “The Void.”

In a reaction, the leader of the group Delacroix declared this: “This song is an opening track of the album, the idea was to take inspiration from the atmosphere of the Doom games. The song started as a motif with a main riff, made by our guitarist A and when I heard the fast and deadly riff, I immediately had the idea to compose heavy riffs around it and make atmospheric synths to accompany it. The song is full of fast riffs, heavy and punchy stuff with a lot of synths. The story itself tells the story of the main character of the series “Doomguy” and if you know how the games are, you know that the lyrics of the song are quite violent and brutal.”

About the Silence Project

Founded in Kuopio by vocalist Delacroix in 2008, the band initially consisted of music closer to industrial metal and aggrotech. Over time, the band’s music began to have heavier sounds and electronic elements, with industrial elements still very present.

The band released their debut album, “424”, in 2012, which mixed melodic metal and atmospheric industrial. In 2016, the band signed a worldwide deal with Sliptrick Records, and later that same year, they released their second album, “Slave To The Machine”, which was heavier with ingredients from death, black, and other extreme metal subgenres. The same evolution continued with their latest EP, “Infinity”, and singles like “Disease” (2022) and “Cult” (2023) from their upcoming album. On the other hand, synthwave and darksynth could be heard with their instrumental singles “Blood Moon” (2021) and “Neon God” (2023).

Since you are here…

…we have a small favor to ask of you. Side-Line Magazine’s readership is higher than ever, but media advertising revenues are plummeting. Unlike many news organizations, we don’t have a paywall (we want our journalism to be as open as possible) and we refuse to add annoying ads. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money, and work. But we do it because we want to highlight the artists we love who are struggling just as much to survive.

If everyone who reads and enjoys our articles would help fund them, our future would be much more secure. For as little as $5 you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it will only take a minute. Thank you.
