Masked Man Claims He Killed Foolio to Collect ,000 Bounty

The investigation into the murder of Jacksonville-based rapper Julio Foolio continues as a video of a masked man began circulating on social media, with the individual confessing to the killing, demanding a $10,000 reward from Yungeen Ace.

It was Julio Foolio’s 26th birthday when he was gunned down in a Tampa, Florida hotel parking lot. Fans suspect the shooting was part of a decade-long feud with fellow Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace.

On July 4, a video surfaced online showing a Jacksonville man confessing to the murder. The man, who partially covered his face with a ski mask and wore an orange beanie, captioned the video: “I robbed Foolio for $10,000.”

“I’m the one who slapped Julio Foolio that night when he fell over at his birthday party,” he began. “I didn’t show my face or reveal my identity, but I did it.” He went on to claim that Foolio’s longtime rival Yungeen Ace had offered $10,000 for the murder.

“There was money on his head. I’m with Ace and them, ATK, I’m really strong in Jacksonville. If you know, you know,” he added. “I handled it because Ace put the $10,000 in the air, told me to slide. He told me to hit Foolio because he was tired of hearing him talk openly.”

The man said he did it for the money and expressed no remorse, saying Foolio “deserved it.” He also denied the killing was gang-related, insisting, “Ace put that bread out and whoever wanted to take it took it, so I took it. Rest in peace, Foolio.”

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident but have not yet identified a suspect. At a news conference, Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw promised to make arrests soon.

Meanwhile, activity has continued on Foolio’s Instagram account, despite his death. On July 3, the account posted a video with messages that read, “YOU CAN NEVER KILL A DEMIGOD” and “THE WORLD WILL BE SHOCKED VERY SOON,” following recent interactions with Yungeen Ace’s page.
