'Multiple' injured in machete attack in Palm Bay; suspect remains on the run

ORLANDO, Fla. – Police in Palm Bay are searching for a suspect in a machete attack that left at least two people injured.

According to police, the incident happened at a known homeless camp in a wooded area east of S. Babcock St. around 9 p.m.

Authorities say several people have been attacked, but no deaths have been reported.

The search for a suspect was underway on the ground and by air shortly before 11 p.m., with assistance from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Palm Bay police or call 911.
