Arsenal to ‘consider’ offers for defender amid Inter Milan interest

Arsenal are reportedly open to selling Poland international Jakub Kiwior as they close in on a deal to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.

Arsenal would be willing to consider the defender’s proposals Jakub Kiwior.

The Poland international has made 38 competitive appearances since joining Arsenal from Italian side Spezia in January 2023.

Kiwior made 11 starts in 20 Premier League appearances last season and has not featured in six of the club’s last nine top-flight games.

Although he is not a guaranteed starter under Mikel ArtetaHe proved to be a useful member of the Arsenal squad, largely due to his versatility.

Kiwior has been largely used as a left-back since arriving in north London, but he has also been used as a centre-back on several occasions.

Arsenal open to Kiwi exit

However, according to Fabrice RomanoThe Gunners will consider allowing Kiwior to leave if they receive a tempting offer this summer.

They are willing to listen to permanent transfer offers, but will also consider loan offers provided they include mandatory purchase options.

Arsenal’s stance on Kiwior’s future could be influenced by the defender’s imminent arrival from Bologna Riccardo Calafiori.

The Gunners have already reached a personal agreement with the Italy international and are now hoping to complete a deal in the near future.

Like Kiwior, Calafiori can play as a centre-back or left-back, and his arrival would see the 24-year-old drop down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.

According to Alfredo PedullaSerie A Champion Inter Milan are among the clubs keeping tabs on the Arsenal defender.

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi Kiwior would likely be used on the left side of a three-man defence, but there is no guarantee he would be a regular starter for the Italian club.
