Livingston plans to consider request for proposals for golf course lease

A request for proposals for the lease of the Livingston Municipal Golf Course will be discussed and considered for possible action by the Livingston City Council at its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Several items are on the agenda regarding the November 5 general election. The Council will consider action on a proposed joint contract for election services with Polk County, order the election, consider action on a proposed resolution establishing procedures for the election and consider approval of the notice of election.

The Council will discuss and consider authorization to issue requests for proposals for the removal, management, reduction and disposal of storm-related debris.

A proposed cost-of-living adjustment to employees’ salary scales, to take effect October 1, will be considered for approval.

After being adjourned twice at the request of the parties, the Council will discuss and consider possible action regarding the appeal of the denial of a sign permit and the request for a variance for the off-site sign at 220 FM 350 North by Henry O. Ager III, IDK LLC and Dwayne Vickery.

A closed session is scheduled, during which the council will consult with the city attorney and discuss personnel matters, particularly the city manager’s performance evaluation. Any action, however, will be taken when the open session resumes.

City Manager Bill S. Wiggins will present his monthly update on projects and events. Other items on the agenda include approval of accounts over $500 and minutes from the June 7 special meeting and June 11 regular meeting.
