Mercedes-Benz EQA electric SUV launched in India at Rs 66 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz has finally launched the EQA electric SUV in India. For the uninitiated, the EQA is the all-electric sibling of the GLA SUV that has been on sale in India for quite some time. Priced at Rs 66 lakh (ex-showroom, launch), the EQA is now the German carmaker’s smallest and most affordable all-electric offering in India, slotting in below the EQB. The SUV will be offered here in just one variant, the EQA 250+ long-range spec, and in a total of seven colours.

The EQA’s design is similar to its internal combustion engine twin, the GLA, although it features a range of EV-specific styling cues. These include new headlights, merged with the vehicle’s closed grille element. The vehicle also features a light bar that runs the width of the front of the car. Other styling cues on the EQA include distinctive alloy wheels and a connected taillight setup. The interior layout remains identical to the GLA and benefits from two 10.25-inch screens above the dashboard and turbine-style air vents with ambient lighting. The screens, however, run Mercedes-EQ-specific software.
