Biden’s scrutiny explodes: Pre-planned ‘how to get in and out of a room’ instructions; White House on defense

President Joe Biden has long been in the spotlight for troubling reasons, especially since his first presidential debate against Donald Trump. After a series of verbal gaffes and alarming appearances at various events, a new report has surfaced claiming that his team is preparing a detailed set of instructions “on how to enter and exit a room” ahead of events.

On Sunday, Axios dropped a new bombshell that once again severely impacted the 81-year-old commander-in-chief’s media presence. Photos and sources have claimed that staffers are constantly at Biden’s side to guide him through events. What’s more, they’ve even mapped out specific paths for him to reach a podium on large prints to make it easier for him.

With the release of the report, the sitting president is under even greater scrutiny, as he already faces relentless resistance and questions about whether his cognitive health is adequate for a possible re-election.

“I was surprised that a seasoned politician like the president needed detailed verbal and visual instructions on how to enter and exit a room,” one person who attended a Biden fundraiser told Axios. They also pointed out how the president’s team treated the “simple fundraiser at a private residence” like “a NATO summit with its movements.”

The outlet reported that the White House sends its staff a document to follow before a presidential event. It’s a short, simple template with a large photo of the venue’s interior and big text like “View from the podium” and “View from the audience.”

However, the report also notes that this model-following protocol was often referred to as “prep work” and was a detail-oriented approach for each president.

White House Comments on ‘Standard’ Briefing Protocol Requiring Such Instructions

Although staffers at the aforementioned Biden event were surprised by the detailed instructions given to the commander in chief, White House officials called them part of standard procedure.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates said that these “high levels of detail and precision are essential to presidential prep work, no matter who the president is, and they are core approaches used by any modern prep team, including the vice president’s office and agencies.”

Additionally, Vice President Kamala Harris’ spokeswoman Kirsten Allen said, “These documents are standard logistical briefing materials and photos for any school principal, including the vice president.”

Leaders urge Biden to drop out of presidential race

The revelations highlight how even Biden’s routine practices have become a target. However, sources say his frequent use of teleprompters, even at small events, has drawn more negative attention to his performance during the CNN debates. Republicans and other critics have often pointed out that he appears unsure of his actions and therefore mentally unfit to run for president.

Senior House Democrats have also recently voiced these concerns. On the same day this report came to light, Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), Joe Morelle (D-N.Y.), Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and Mark Takano (D-Calif.) joined calls for Biden to end his 2024 reelection campaign.

Despite the constant criticism he faces, spokesmen for the inner circle of Democratic leaders and the president himself have said he remains in the race and is determined to beat his Republican rival, Trump.
