Trio arrested after police allegedly find drugs during traffic stop

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three people are facing drug charges after police said they found methamphetamine in a car during a traffic stop.

On July 5 at 4:46 p.m., while participating in Operation Code Zero, the Crump Station Task Force observed a maroon Subaru Legacy with tinted windows obstructing the vehicle’s view traveling northbound on New Getwell Road.

A roadside check was carried out and the tint was found to be darker than the legal limit.

The driver of the vehicle, Steve Jackson, and a passenger, James Edward, were both wanted on arrest warrants.

Officers searched the vehicle with the consent of the owner and passenger, Jessica Jackson, and discovered scales, syringes and methamphetamine.
