Ipswich news: Mick Mills on upcoming Premier League matches

Former Ipswich defender Mick Mills spoke to BBC Radio Suffolk about the club’s next two Premier League games – an away match against Tottenham and a home game against Manchester United after the international break.

Mills said: “Apart from when Sir Alex Ferguson was managing Manchester United, I’ve always put them and Tottenham in the same group; they can be absolutely scintillating or a complete disappointment. That’s what we have to stick to.” .

“We’ve seen it this season (with Tottenham). I’ve seen 45 minutes at Brighton where they were absolutely fantastic and another 45 minutes was absolute rubbish. When you play against teams that are up and down like that you have to go in with with a little faith you might land correctly on the right day and catch them.

“There will be a crazy flow of people (at Portman Road) for the game against Manchester United because it’s (Ruben Amorim’s) first game. It’s a big occasion for him but I’m confident. Let’s hope they wither under the pressure of the good atmosphere we have here.

“I’m not too worried about these two games, not like I would be for the top four teams who are ultra-consistent.”
