Lainey Wilson Announces New Single, “4x4xU,” Inspired by Boyfriend Duck Hodges

Last week, Lainey Wilson has released his latest single, “4x4xU.” The music video for Wilson’s new song continues the narrative from his last video for “Hang Tight Honey,” as that clip celebrates performing and life on the road, while “4x4xU” examines life at home once the tour has wrapped. Wilson has now revealed that “4x4xU” was inspired by his budding relationship with the former NFL quarterback. Duck Hodges.

“I’m so excited for everyone to finally get their hands on ‘4x4xU,’” Wilson said in a recent press release. “This song is about finding that person who gives you the comfort and peace of home anywhere in the world as long as you’re by their side.” At a recent show, Wilson got even more personal with her audience. “The truth is, I write what I know, and I finally found a man worth writing about. So you know it’s a love song because you probably thought, geez, she doesn’t have it in her… but I do. I have a cheerleader.” (All the news from the country)
