TGR Announces Upgraded GR86 and Limited Special Edition Model

The GR86 was launched in 2021 through joint development with Subaru Corporation (Subaru). While sharing its base with the Subaru BRZ, the GR has proven popular with many customers as a car that offers the unique driving feel of a GR vehicle, with intuitive handling and instinctive responsiveness, linear response and exceptional agility at the upper limits of performance.

The enhanced GR86 builds on knowledge gained from racing in motorsport, where TGR continues to use the GR86. Feedback from professional racing drivers, who fine-tune the cars in the extreme environment of racing, has been used to further develop the unique driving feel of a GR vehicle. Enhancements include improved shock absorber damping characteristics and increased control of the Electric Power Steering (EPS), modified throttle characteristics (for manual transmission vehicles) and an expanded engine speed tolerance range when downshifting (for automatic transmission vehicles) for, among other things, improved ground contact feel, improved steering response and improved linearity.
