Perrie Edwards has finally addressed her “heartbreaking” split from former bandmate Jesy Nelson.

The duo, who were members of Little Mix, split after Jesy left the group in 2020.

Jesy apparently left the band because it was affecting her mental health. The BBC also made a documentary about her experience called Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out last year.

During a dialogue with CosmopolitanZayn Malik’s ex-girlfriend has opened up about their split.

She explained: “We don’t talk, and we haven’t in a long time. It’s really sad, it’s heartbreaking. But sometimes these things happen and people decide to break up, and that’s totally normal. I would prefer things to happen differently, but you can’t control how things turn out.”

In the same conversation, Perrie also appreciated former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

“I love her. My manager, who was her manager, recently had a birthday party and I just let loose and told her things that had happened to me. And Cheryl was like, ‘Yeah, tell me more.’ She’s just the best,” she said.

Little Mix consisted of Perrie, Jesy, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
