Pedestrian killed Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Olathe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A female pedestrian died Thursday evening after being struck by a pickup truck at Interstate 35 and Lone Elm Road in Olathe.

According to police, the accident happened around 6:15 p.m

Officers arrived and found the 37-year-old woman unconscious, according to an Olathe Police Department news release.

She died a short time later.

The 57-year-old man driving the pickup remained at the scene and is cooperating with police, the news release said.

Police did not release the woman’s name Friday morning.
