For those without air conditioning, Edwardsville offers 4 cool zones

With high temperatures expected through at least Monday, the City of Edwardsville wants everyone to be aware of local cooling center options available during periods of extreme heat.

The city is working with the following local facilities to provide assistance when the heat index exceeds 100° Fahrenheit. Additional locations and hours may be added as needed.

The Edwardsville Fire Department is also reminding residents to heed heat warnings and take steps to stay cool during periods of excessive heat. Here are some suggested steps to manage heat:
