Farm loan waiver guidelines: Harish Rao slams Revanth govt for unfair farm loan waiver guidelines | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Former minister T Harish Rao on Monday said the Congress government was more focused on screening farmers than providing relief under the Rs 2 lakh farm loan waiver scheme. Responding to the guidelines issued by the government on Monday for the scheme, Harish Rao claimed there was a stark contrast between the statements made by the Congress during the elections and its subsequent actions. He said the rule excluding farmers who took loans before December 12, 2018 was uncalled for. The former finance minister said this showed that the government’s priority was to reduce its financial burden rather than easing the loan burden of farmers.
