Keystone Central School District Police and Safety Services recently received a donation of eight Stop the Bleed medical stations. The donation was organized by Mark Trueman, senior director of prehospital operations and deputy chief of UPMC Susquehanna Regional Emergency Medical Services. The bleeding control kits are designed to provide bystanders and first responders with easily accessible medical equipment to stop life-threatening bleeding. The stations contain individual bleeding control kits with tourniquets, pressure dressings, gauze and dressing materials as well as rapid-release stretchers to move the injured. Keystone Central School District is grateful for the generous donations from the Susquehanna Health Foundation, it said in a news release.
