Motorcycle and moped seized as riders caught without insurance

Police seized a motorbike and moped from riders in an east Suffolk town this week after discovering the drivers were riding without insurance.

Police were patrolling the Grange Road area of ​​Felixstowe on Monday afternoon when they noticed a motorcyclist travelling at high speed through the town.

The officers then stopped the driver and approached them.

It was established that the motorcyclist was riding without valid insurance or technical inspection.

The vehicle was quickly seized by the police and a traffic violation report was drawn up.

Later that evening, another driver riding a moped attracted the attention of police on Langer Road.

When officers stopped the driver, they also found that he did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance information.

The officers then seized the moped and gave the driver a traffic violation report.

A police spokesman said drivers will either receive a mandatory diversion course, a fixed penalty notice or be summoned to court.

Felixstowe and Woodbridge Police said they were “committed to reducing inappropriate vehicle use in the town”.
