At least twenty people have been killed and more than forty injured in a bomb attack on a train station in Pakistan.

The bomb exploded in the southwestern city of Quetta as nearly a hundred passengers waited for a train traveling to Rawalpindi.

The Balochistan Liberation Army, a separatist group, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying in a statement that a suicide bomber had attacked troops at the train station.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said those who orchestrated the attack “will pay a very high price for it,” adding that security forces were determined to eliminate “the threat of terrorism.”
