The Boys Fans Agree Homelander’s Plot Twist Will ‘Never Be Topped’

The Season 4 Finale of The boys is upon us and fans are discussing a plot twist that will stay etched in the memory.

Inspired by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comics of the same name, The boys First airing on Amazon Prime Video in 2019, it is a satirical show centered on a group of “superheroes” called The Seven, led by the evil Vought International.

However, the Seven are not superheroes, abusing their unnatural power and privilege to rule as they see fit, with Homelander (played by Antony Starr) leading the way with no morals other than his own and no regard for human life.

This week, fans of The boys are excited to see the season four finale make way for its fifth and final season, but before they say goodbye, fans discussed the show’s most shocking moments (and there are plenty).

Now, before we continue, I’m going to get into spoiler territory for the conclusion of the very first episode of Season 1, so consider this your last Spoiler alert.

Making her first declarations as a villainous “superhero”, on the orders of Vought International head Madelyn Stillwell, she orders Homehander to destroy Senator Calhoun’s plane in mid-flight (her young son was also a passenger) after he attempts to blackmail her.

“Could the series ever have a twist like this again?” asked Reddit user CretaceousClock.

“That’s the scene that hooked me,” BillyDeeisCobra replied. “There were some bold leaps in the first season that were meant to shock, and that was the magic formula.”

“I thought they would have made Homelander a good guy doing horrible things for Vought and he would have been a tragic villain, but damn was I wrong,” Dono_X_Dono said.

“The first season was incredible, it was pretty much the last time Homelander felt like an existential threat anymore,” Eifand exclaimed.

“If they did this scene now, there would be 50 people on that plane having sex,” FamousLoser claimed, and he probably has a point.

The final episode of season four of The boys is available to stream now on Prime Video.
