Ramez Naguib unveils retro-inspired Technicolor music video “Embareh”

Egyptian producer and sound designer Ramez Naguib recently released a retro-inspired technicolor music video titled “Embareh.” The track, which features rapper-turned-singer Mahdy Madness on vocals, was originally released as part of Naguib’s latest collaboration, “Yemken,” earlier in 2024. Directed by Egyptian filmmaker Amr Mahdi, the clip—featuring Mahdy Madness and Ramez himself dressed in vintage outfits—features rapid-fire ’80s-style transitions and overlays that intersect and dissolve in a cinematic manner, complementing the track’s infectious disco beat. While it’s simple, minimalist, and almost feels homemade, the video’s vibrant colors and immersive nature give it an “everything, everywhere, all at once” vibe.
