Having family by your side is awesome. But Linn Grant has made that dream come true! She gets support from her family not only off the course, but on the course as well. Yep, you guessed it! Linn Grant’s brother Jonathan is her caddie at Highland Meadows Golf Club for the 2024 LPGA Dana Open. But since when has he been his sister’s caddie?

While no specific date has been mentioned, the LPGA Tour has indicated that the date will be “a few months away.” They also revealed how the Swede has not only been able to enjoy the support of his family on the greens, but has also shown his sister what things are like from inside the course, as families mostly cheer from outside the ropes.

According to the LPGA, Grant feels extremely mentally motivated to have her brother by her side. She even said: “It’s nice to have him here. It’s nice to show him a place I’ve been before.” The reigning Dana Open champion then spoke about what it’s really like to have a family member on the bag. She confessed: “It’s obviously nice to have someone to chat to about different things rather than just being able to talk about yourself or your own thoughts on golf.”

So, the discussions on the course aren’t just about golf. To keep her sister from getting stressed, the siblings also talk about what they’re going to do when they get home the following week. This helps them have something to look forward to. Since Olympic week is coming up soon after, the golfer probably needs some rest!

If you thought Linn Grant was the only one in her family who played golf, you’d be wrong. Linn Grant’s father, John Grant, once played for Team Sweden and also won seven times during his career. He was the one who inspired all of his children to try their hand at golf. All of his children, including Amanda, Linn and her older brother Jonathan.

As shocking as it may seem, Linn Grant had a somewhat late start to her career. In fact, it was her older sister Amanda who was a better player from the start. As for Jonathan, his father was extremely proud of his talents when he was in his late teens.

John Grant once revealed: “Jonathan was a very talented golfer at 16 and 17.” Then he thought again: “But her older sister, Amanda, was the most talented. Sometimes when you put a golf club in someone’s hands, you can see that they know how to hold it and swing it. Amanda was one of the three most talented people. But she hated golf. She didn’t play at all.”
