The end of a marriage can bring up all sorts of emotions.

That said, if a person is thrilled About the end of a relationship, well… it could get a little awkward for everyone involved.

This young woman’s older half-sister threw a party, but she wasn’t shocked, considering their past.

Her family, however, thinks she’s taking it all a little too seriously.

Find out all the details in the article!

My parents announced two months ago that they were getting a divorce. I (16) kind of saw it coming but it still makes me sad.

My half-sister (25) has been celebrating since she heard the news. She clapped when our father told her.

She rejoiced in front of my mother and me.

She told her mother that she could forget about being a part of his life or going to his wedding now, her half-sister is engaged.

Her half-sister is acting like a disturbed little girl.

My half-sister always hated that her father remarried after her mother died when she was 5, and she said she never wanted my mother or me around.

She was still praying for their marriage to end. She had tried to break them up in the past.

Dad was so angry and frustrated with her but she never let the dream die and now her dream has come true.

The last time Mom and I saw my half-sister was when Dad moved. She stopped by briefly and was jubilant.

It was also at this time that she told her mother that she was no longer invited to the wedding and that she would no longer be a part of her life.

My mother was devastated. Despite my half-sister’s dislike for her and constant disrespect, my mother loved her and was sad to see it all end before they had a chance to be friends. Yet, my mother always wanted to be a part of my half-sister’s family.

To the point of organizing a real party to celebrate it.

My maternal aunt saw that my sister had posted on social media about a party she had thrown and it turned out that it was celebrating the divorce.

My parents were upset.

I could shrug, because I knew she would be very happy about this and her celebration does not surprise me at all. But my parents asked me why I am so calm and collected about it.

I told them I expected her reaction and that I always knew she really wanted this.

They said they expected me to be upset.

I told them that maybe I could expect something different from her, but that wasn’t the case. I pointed out that everyone in her comments knew that too.

There were a lot of comments about how she always said that and how happy they were that she won. To me, it’s so stupid.

Now the girl’s family is wondering why she isn’t more upset.

My aunt later confronted me and told me that I should do more, because it seems like I don’t care about my stepsister’s weird and over-the-top reaction.

She said that Mom must feel like I don’t care about her grief at all. How hard it is to see a child she loved and helped raise, separated from his father.

What is this ?

She thinks it’s no surprise.
