Inside Pippa Middleton’s incredible £15million Berkshire mansion | Royal | News

The Princess of Wales’ sister Pippa Middleton lives in a lavish £15million mansion in Berkshire with her husband James Matthews and their three children Arthur, Grace and Rose.

The mother-of-three acquired the Georgian property in 2022 alongside her husband and the Matthews’ home features 30 bedrooms, a walled garden and river access, according to the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential.

The couple reportedly sold their luxury Chelsea apartment for £22.5million, making £5.5million on the property after Mr Matthews bought it in 2014.

James Matthews and Pippa Middleton’s new home is about a 20-minute drive from her parents’ home in Bucklebury, meaning Pippa’s children can spend more time with Michael and Carole Middleton than they did when they lived in central London.

James is a businessman and the managing director of Eden Rock Capital Management Group, a hedge fund he started more than 20 years ago. He named the group after his father’s Eden Rock hotel in St. Barts.

Princess Kate and Prince William also live just down the road at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. Deepa Mehta-Sagar, interior designer, decorator and founder of Area Decor LLC, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the cottage.

She said: “Adelaide Cottage, located in Windsor Great Park, is a historic property comprising Adelaide Cottage and Adelaide Lodge. The property has a humble history; Adelaide Cottage began life as a gatehouse in the 17th century.”

Born in Reading and raised in Bucklebury, Berkshire, Pippa attended Marlborough College before graduating with a degree in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh.

She became a household name when she was a bridesmaid at her older sister’s wedding in 2011. James and Pippa announced their engagement on July 17, 2016, and married on May 20, 2017.

Prince William and Prince Harry were in attendance, as were Middleton’s niece and nephew, Princess Charlotte and Prince George.

Princess Kate and her sister Pippa are extremely close, having lived together in a Chelsea flat during their twenties and shared their journey of motherhood together. She was also a great support to her sister during her cancer treatment.

Pippa and Kate, both tennis fans, have been spotted in the royal box at sporting events like Wimbledon on numerous occasions over the years.

Most recently, Pippa joined Kate and Princess Charlotte in the royal box for the Wimbledon 2024 men’s final on July 14.

Sources have described Pippa as the future Queen’s closest ally and secret support network and compared their bond to that which the late Queen had with her younger sister, Princess Margaret.

A source close to the pair said: “They were already the best of friends, but this trying year has seen them grow even closer.”
