Police seek murder suspect in Walnut Hills

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — Cincinnati police are searching for a man wanted for murder.

Eugene Johnson, 61, is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

Johnson is wanted for the murder of William Hawkins, 60, of Lt. Jonathan Cunningham confirms.

Hawkins was stabbed on Gilbert Avenue in Walnut Hills around 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 17, police previously said.

The 60-year-old man was taken to hospital, where police said he died a few days later, on August 20.

Police say Johnson frequents Walnut Hills, Gilbert Avenue and Beecher Street.

He is described as being 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 120 pounds and having black hair and hazel eyes, police said.
