Harrison Ford Says ‘Not Caring’ Was Key to ‘Captain America’ Role

Harrison Ford has been an acclaimed actor for decades, having starred in iconic film franchises like Star Wars And Indiana Jones. In his latest major franchise, he plays Red Hulk in the upcoming Captain America movie, Captain America: Brave New World.

Ford spoke about taking on the job, which included the motion capture process, in a recent interview with Variety. Simply put, he felt it didn’t take much effort to do what he was asked to do – and what he was paid to do.

“What did it take? I had to not care. I had to act like an idiot for money, which I’ve done before,” the Oscar winner joked.

He was quick to point out that he was not disparaging a film he had worked on.

“I don’t want to disparage the movie,” he said. “I’m just saying that you have to do some things that your mother wouldn’t want you to do — or your drama teacher, if you had one. But it’s fun and I enjoyed it. I had a great time and I’m thrilled with the reaction we got to the trailer.”
