Democrats made a ‘BIG mistake’ by involving Cheneys

President-elect Trump said Democrats made a “BIG mistake” by getting involved with former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney.

“The Democrats made a BIG mistake by involving crazy Liz Chaney and her father, Dick, in their campaign for president. It made the Republicans angry and the Democrats just scratching their heads in amazement.” Trump posted Sunday on his TruthSocial platform. “It’s always a bad idea to involve ‘losers’ in a political campaign!”

Liz Cheney became one of Trump’s most outspoken Republican critics after joining the House of Representatives investigative committee, which found him guilty of the violence at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

She joined Vice President Harris’ campaign in what was seen as an attempt to do so reach across the aisle and shows voters that just because they vote for a Democrat doesn’t mean they’re giving up their Republican values.

Her father, Dick Cheney, was one of the more prominent Republican backers of Harris’ campaign. His approval this fall, it was argued that Americans have a duty to “put country above partisanship.”

Trump has consistently criticized the Cheneys.

After the former Vice President endorsed Harris, Trump said he was a “irrelevant RINO” – or Republican in name only. Just days before the election, Trump makes comments about Liz Cheney, describing her as having guns “trained on her face” drew recoil.
