Transfer: Anyanwu leaves Bendel Insurance for Swedish club, Östersunds FK

Sunday Anyanwu has joined Swedish club Östersunds FK on a two-year contract, DAILY POST reports.

Anyanwu has partnered with Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Östersunds, Bendel Insurance.

Another NPFL side, Kwara Utd, were initially interested in him but the 23-year-old, who scored one league goal for Bendel Insurance, will now ply his trade in Sweden.

In the meantime, Bendel Insurance has written a farewell message to the defender.

“Farewell to a legend! Sunday Anyanwu has secured a transfer to Östersunds FK,” the club wrote on X.

“His journey from Bendel Insurance to Sweden is just the beginning. Good luck on Sunday!”
